Who we are

TinTin POS (天天收銀) makes point-of-sale software for restaurants and shops. This policy covers this website, tintinpos.com, and the services we provide from it.

What we collect

From this website, we collect what you type into the contact form: your name, your business name, a phone number, an email address, and your message.

When we run the service for your venue, we also process operational data on the venue's behalf — orders, items, staff actions and payment records created in the course of trading. That data belongs to the venue; we hold it in order to run the service.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, named lang, which remembers the language you chose so the site keeps speaking it on your next visit. We run no advertising trackers and no third-party profiling.

How we use information

We use contact details to answer your enquiry and to follow up about the service. We use operational data to run, support and troubleshoot the point-of-sale service for the venue it belongs to. We do not sell information to anyone.

Third parties

This website and its email delivery run on Cloudflare. Card payments on online shops are handled by Stripe: card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Delivery platforms

Where a venue connects a delivery platform such as Uber Eats, that platform sends us the orders placed on it so they can be prepared in the kitchen and reported alongside the venue's other sales. We receive the order contents, the customer's first name, any delivery or preparation instructions, and an order reference. We send back only order-handling actions — accepting or declining an order, and pausing or resuming the store.

We do not receive customers' payment details from these platforms, and we do not use delivery-platform order information for advertising or for any purpose other than fulfilling and reporting on the order.

Retention and security

We keep contact-form enquiries for as long as they are useful to the conversation. We keep operational data for as long as we run the service for the venue, plus any period the venue asks for or the law requires. Data is held on access-controlled servers and moved over encrypted connections.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and will respond within a reasonable time.
