Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of tintinpos.com and the TinTin POS software. Where you have a signed service agreement with us, that agreement governs anything it covers and these terms fill in the rest.
The service
TinTin POS provides point-of-sale software for restaurants and shops, delivered as described in your service agreement. Features and modules change over time as we improve the product.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details and staff PINs safe, and for what happens under your account. Please give us accurate contact and business details, and keep them current.
Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and for your own business. Do not resell, sublicense or rebrand it, do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, and do not use it to store or process anything unlawful.
Your data
Your venue owns its business data — menu, orders, payment records and reports. We process that data to run and support the service for you. You can ask for an export of your data at any time while your service is running.
Fees
Fees, billing periods and any hardware costs are those agreed in your service agreement. We do not publish prices on this website.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service up, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation; maintenance, outages and third-party failures happen. The restaurant till is designed to keep trading offline, so that a connection problem does not stop you serving.
Intellectual property
The software, its design and its documentation remain ours. Your service agreement gives you the right to use them while your service is running; it does not transfer ownership of anything.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is", and our liability for any claim connected with it is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law where those apply to you.
Termination and governing law
Either of us may end the service as set out in your service agreement; on termination we will help you export your data. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute.
